Karamoko Dembele has left little room for an international U-turn following his latest Instagram post.
The 16-year-old moved from London to Scotland with his family when he was just a year old but it’s very clear that his international ambitions lie south of the border.
Dembele has turned out for Scotland but over the last two years he has been part of the England set up, based at St George’s and enjoying the benefits of an extensive development programme.
Over the last week he earned two more caps at u-17 level with England losing to Denmark but beating the Czech Republic.
So far this season he hasn’t made any first team appearances for Celtic but he missed more than a month due to a leg injury.
The 16-year-old trains with the first team on a daily basis with Neil Lennon keen to build on his top team debut in the final match of last season when he played the second half of the 2-1 win against Hearts.
