Image for Hayes starts against Lazio as Lennon makes three changes

Neil Lennon has picked Jonny Hayes to replace the injured Boli Bolingoli for tonight’s Europa League tie with Lazio in Rome.

The former Aberdeen man started against Valencia in the Mestalla in February and shouldn’t be fazed by the atmosphere inside the Stadio Olympico.

Lennon has also called in Ryan Christie and Hatem Abd Elhamed to his side with Tom Rogic and Jeremie Frimpong missing out from the side that beat Hibs 5-2 at the weekend.

Tonight’s side has just one change, Hayes for Bolingoli, from the team that beat Lazio 2-1 a fortnight ago thanks to goals from Christie and Christopher Jullien.

A repeat of that scoreline could book Celtic’s place in the knock out phase but Lazio have won three matches since their defeat in Glasgow and currently sit in fourth place in Serie A.

CELTIC: Forster; Elhamed, Ajer, Jullien, Hayes; McGregor, Brown; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
