Mikey Johnston looks like handing Neil Lennon an injury boost.

The winger suffered a thigh strain during the September Glasgow derby and has had a frustrating time since then.

Johnston did make it onto the bench for the Betfred Cup semi-final against Hibs but was missing from the wins over Lazio and Motherwell and had to pull out of the Scotland u-21 squad.

With doubts over the fitness of Boli Bolingoli and Moi Elyounoussi the return of Johnston gives Lennon some options on the left side of the pitch.

Last December Johnston played a couple of matches as a striker, scoring against Motherwell and Dundee which could be an emergency option if anything was to happen to Odsonne Edouard.

After tomorrow’s match against Livingston Celtic go into an extensive fixture programme with nine matches in December covering SPFL, Premiership, Betfred Cup and Europa League.
