Olivier Ntcham has revealed that Odsonne Edouard feared that his team-mate would break his neck as he celebrated his stoppage winner against Lazio.

As he scored the goal Ntcham’s first touch appeared to let him down before he chipped the ball over the keeper but the first move in his celebration almost caused much more bother as the Daily Record reports:

He told the Celtic View: “I slipped when I tried the flip so that’s why I was on my hands. Odsonne said to me afterwards I nearly broke my neck. I was too engaged in celebrating with everyone to stop and do it again. It was too late to repeat it so I need to a little bit more on that if I am to do it again!”

Last month Neil Lennon said that he was finding it difficult to keep Ntcham out of his side but Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie are hitting a regular high bench mark.

Ntcham was a late substitute for Christie against Lazio and kept his place for the following match against Motherwell.

With 11 matches to be negotiated before the end of December Lennon will require as many of his squad to be fit and available as possible.

Over the next 48 hours the international players will be assessed at Lennoxtown but after a break of a full week Ntcham should be raring to go against Livingston.
