Greg Taylor has retained his place in the Scotland squad despite making just one appearance since joining Celtic at the start of September.

The defender played against St Mirren last week but other than that match he has only made the bench for one Celtic fixture.

Scotland play Cyprus and Kazakhstan in matches that are almost meaningless with Russia and Belgium qualifying from the group with something to spare.

Andy Robertson is the first choice left-back but with Kieran Tierney missing out Taylor is the back up for the Liverpool defender.

Fellow Celts James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie are all included as well as former Celts David Marshall, Stephen O’Donnell, Charlie Mulgrew, Stuart Armstrong and Oli Burke.

Taylor has one cap to his name, picked up against Belgium in June but has found his chances limited at Celtic by the form of Boli Bolingoli.

Although they are out of contention for direct qualification to Euro 2020 Scotland get a second chance to qualify in March if they can get through two matches using the Nations League route.
