Chris Sutton is convinced that Brendan Rodgers is the best candidate to manage Arsenal- and that the Irishman would jump at the chance to move to London.
In February Rodgers dropped Celtic without as much as a backward glance to dedicate his life to Leicester, for nine months it has appeared to be a masterstroke of a career move.
“The best man for the job is Brendan Rodgers.”
“He left Celtic, the team he supported as a boy, to downgrade and go to Leicester. So why wouldn’t he upgrade to go to Arsenal?” ?@chris_sutton73 thinks there is a standout candidate for the Gunners job…#EarlyKickOff pic.twitter.com/jfzqdGesQ4

Success at Celtic was barely acknowledged by the English audience that Rodgers craves admiration from but at Leicester the praise has been unstinting with his bright young side in second place- well ahead of Manchester United, Spurs and Arsenal.
This season the pressure has been on those three under performing clubs with two reaching for the panic button and sacking their manager.
Spurs moved quickly to bring in Jose Mourinho but it seems that Arsenal have no ready-made replacement for Unai Emery.

Rodgers had the chance yesterday to declare his undying love for Leicester, instead by purred about Arsenal. Sutton knows what motivates the Leicester boss, having ditched Celtic overnight his current employers know what his word is worth.
