Despite being rooted at the bottom of Group E on the back of four successive Europa League defeats Rennes supporters packed out the visitors section at Celtic Park.
Visiting Scotland’s most famous stadium is on the bucket-list of most football fans with something as trivial as poor form not putting the French fans off a late November away-day.
Even though Celtic had already qualified for the knock-out phase of the Europa League there was no let up from the home side as they raced into a 12th minute lead with an impressive shot from Lewis Morgan.

It was a fiesty match despite little being at stake, Ryan Christie picked up a first half booking but just before half time he extended Celtic’s lead with a low 25 yard effort that found the net at the near post.
Mikey Johnston extended Celtic’s lead in the 74th minute but there was a genuine moment of cheer for the visiting support when Adrien Hunou sent a glancing header across Fraser Forster into the net in the 90th minute
