Sunday’s media outrage over a marginal offside decision has prompted one Celtic fan to dig out some of the most outrageous Glasgow Derby honest mistakes of the last 25 years.

It’s a task that required a lot of hard work and editing with a focus on those incidents during the pre-social media age

5 Di Canio hauled down in the penalty box- at Ibrox (ref Willie Young)

4 Barry Ferguson raising two hands to block a shot from Stan Petrov in the penalty box- at Ibrox

3 Neil Lennon getting hacked down in the box by Steven Smith- at Ibrox ( ref Kenny Clark)

2 Davie Weir chopping down Shaun Maloney in the penalty box- at Ibrox (ref Craig Thomson)

1 Andrei Kanchelskis taking the legs from Stephane Mahe in the penalty box- at Ibrox (ref Jim McCluskey)

The first four incidents all took place in front of the Copland Road Stand at Ibrox with referees clearly concerned about awarding a penalty at that part of the ground.

While the media has poured over a marginal offside decision at Hampden other incidents have gone virtually un-commented on.

Alfredo Morelos was spoken to twice in the first half by Willie Collum for dangerously barging into Celtic defenders, after the break he seemed to have a free pass with four foils committed without even a yellow card. One especially vicious snap at the Achilles Heel of Chris Jullien was missed by all of the match officials.

After watching Fraser Forster save a penalty from Morelos Scott Arfield reacted by going over the ball at Ryan Christie’s ankle. Willie Collum awarded a yellow card for the incident.
