When it comes to transfer stories it is always best to trace it back to as close to the source as possible.

In the current era when fans can have access to details of every player under the sun it’s not too difficult for flickering thoughts to see the light of day via a transfer rumour.

Mohammed Daramy is starting to make waves with Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga which is one of the longest established routes into British football.

Scandinavia is certainly one of Celtic’s identified transfer markets with Kris Ajer the latest target to make it all the way through to the hoops first team.

At 17-year-of-age Daramy has made a dozen first team appearances for Copenhagen which has been enough for Tom Gott to identify him as a potential Celtic signing.

90min website reports:

Now a regular part of the Copenhagen side, Daramy has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season. 90min has learned that Liverpool scouts have taken in his performances on a number of occasions.

Almost half of the sides currently in the ?Premier League have monitored Daramy, while there has also been interest from ?Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Celtic. However, it is Liverpool who are weighing up an offer.

Gott’s recent stories have covered a wide range of EPL clubs but there has been nothing to suggest he has access to Celtic’s transfer targets.

Celtic will be aware of Daramy, they will have positional and contract details of all top division players across Europe and beyond.

If the story emerged from a Danish source it may have some substance, L’Equipe has been a very reliable source of Celtic transfer stories in recent times, for now it looks highly speculative that Celtic will be going into battle with Liverpool and Dortmund to sign a 17-year-old from Denmark.
