Jeremie Frimpong got some gentle big-brotherly advice during Celtic’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen.

The teenager is involved in almost everything Celtic do but when the win over the Dons was in danger of boiling over his big buddy Chris Jullien decided to step in.

After supporting Scott Brown, Frimpong exchanged a few pushes with Lewis Ferguson which prompted the Frenchman to appear on the scene with some gentle peace-making.

Frimpong took it in good spirit, a telling off with a smile from his more experienced team-mate was better than a pushing match that could have led to more cards being dished out.

As Cosgrove went off the park the Celtic players refused to get drawn into any afters, realising that the next two matches aren’t worth being suspended for.

St Mirren on Thursday is the target, after the excitement of opening his presents six more points for Frimpong will ensure the happiest of new years as he prepares for the challenges of 2020.
