Davie Provan is tipping a home win in the Glasgow derby- but only if Celtic improve on their League Cup Final display earlier this month.

Neil Lennon would go alongwith that prediction with the hoops boss confident that Odsonne Edouard can provide a focus and goals for his team.

There were a lot of circumstances involved in the Hampden clash but the one consistent to emerge was that Celtic won the clash.

The weather and pitch should also be more favourable today with three weeks of hard luck stories from Ibrox providing further motivation for Lennon’s side.

After a lengthy build-up in The Sun Provan explains:

As for a prediction? With home advantage, I have Celtic favourites but they’ll have to play a hell of a lot better than they did in the last derby encounter.

If Rangers can repeat their Hampden performance, it should be one hell of a game.

Having been mugged in the Betfred Cup final, Gerrard might feel he’s due a break today — but it’ll be down to his players to earn him one.

A Rangers victory blows the title race wide open once again. A Celts victory puts Gers’ lights out for another season.

Lennon’s big decision is over Mikey Johnston who can provide natural width on the left with Ryan Christie and James Forrest restored to their natural positions at the exclusion of Olivier Ntcham.

Against Aberdeen and St Mirren Lennon picked the same starting XI which included Ntcham with today’s team news out at 11.15am.
