Edouard misses training on Thursday

Odsonne Edouard will sit out training today as Neil Lennon welcomes Jonny Hayes, Boli Bolingoli and Moi Elyounoussi back to training.

The striker has missed Celtic’s last three matches and is the biggest injury concern ahead of Sunday’s League Cup Final.

Lewis Morgan started up front in the 2-1 win over Hamilton before being replaced by Leigh Griffiths with Celtic fans concerned by the absence of Edouard who was pictured training on Tuesday.

Lennon has some big decisions to make before announcing his team for Sunday’s match with most of the attention on whether or not the former Paris Saint Germain makes the starting XI.

The Daily Record reports the Celtic boss saying:

Jonny, Moi and Boli. They’ll train tomorrow.  We’ve been monitoring Odsonne day to day and we’re give him every chance. Well he’s not training tomorrow; he’s going to do some work with the physios and we’ll take it from there.

While the first trophy of the season is highly important Lennon will take into account the five SPFL fixtures that Celtic have between December 15 and 29.

Next week the hoops boss is likely to field a shadow XI in the Europa League tie away to Cluj but on Sunday everyone that starts at Hampden will have to be 100% match fit.
