Hatem Abd Elhamed’s absence has been overlooked due to Jeremie Frimpong proving to be a more than adequate deputy.
The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva defender suffered a groin injury late on against Lazio on November 7 and hasn’t featured since that epic night in the Stadio Olympico.
Updates on the injury have been scarce but last night Elhamed published a picture on Instagram showing him in training at Celtic Park.
Earlier this season Elhamed appeared to be out of contention for the September derby at Ibrox but was named in the side and turned in a polished performance.
Frimpong has made seven first team appearances but it seems that some supporters are going into a panic after his form dipped for 15 minutes away to Ross County.
