Even picking up a red card in a cup final hasn’t diluted the affection that Celtic fans have for Jeremie Frimpong.

After his post-match interviews, the phrase All My Days ensured that the teenager, who turned 19 on Tuesday, became even more popular among fans.

For an hour Frimpong had been Celtic’s best outfield player, handling the occasion and the less than convincing surface while team-mates struggled to make passes to each other.

In one memorable first half incident the young defender turned Glen Kamara so much that the Finnish international star struggled to get both hands on his opponent to earn a yellow card for a rugby tackle.

After being sent off Frimpong spent the slowest most painful 30 minutes of his life hoping that his team-mates could hang on to Chris Jullien’s goal.

Referee Willie Collum played more than six minutes stoppage time but when he finally blew his whistle for the last time Frimpong raced onto the park to celebrate with his team-mates.
