Bnei Yehuda are trying to talk up interest in Ismaila Soro.

Celtic have been linked with the midfielder but as Neil Lennon is keen to highlight the hoops have a number of targets in every position that they monitor and test the water on.

Cruzeiro and Slovan Bratislava have recently gone public on Celtic’s interest in Fabricio Bruno and Andraz Sporar with Israeli side Bnei Yehuda following that template. There are claims that Celtic have made a £1.3m offer for Sor but no link to the source.

The Sun reports:

Yehuda boss Yossi Abukasis said: “We will only sell Soro if we get an offer which matches our valuation. We know what he is worth. We know there is growing interest in him and a lot of European clubs have watched him, even just this week.”

Soro moved to Israel in 2017 after a brief spell with Belarus side FK Gomel. Moving to Scotland shouldn’t be too much of a culture shock for the Ivorian who has also played in Moldova for FC Saxan.

As a defensive midfielder there is no obvious place in the Celtic squad for Soro but there does seem to be regular speculation that Olivier Ntcham could be moving on at some stage in 2020.

During the summer Celtic’s move for Motherwell’s David Turnbull fell through due to a failed medical while former Bolton midfielder Luca Connell has yet to be involved in a first team squad.
