ITN reporter Peter Smith has claimed that he has viewed a video in which Alfredo Morelos was subjected to racist and sectarian abuse.
More than 24 hours after the final whistle was blown the club from Ibrox turned to the race card to deflect away from the ‘slit throat’ gesture made by the player after being red carded.
Morelos received his second yellow card in stoppage time after another frustrating afternoon in front of goal, the 12th successive match against Celtic that he has failed to score in.
Before either club had commented Smith from ITN had taken to Twitter, after being challenged by one Celtic supporter he appears to keeping the video to himself..
Hi Peter. Celtic have released a statement saying they will investigate any racial abuse and have asked for evidence so IF this video exists (and that’s a big IF) then submit it to @CelticFC and let them do their job https://t.co/qvweh3xJvx

It’s my job to report what I have seen, which I have done. Rangers have a legal team and can report it to police if they wish.

I’ve been on this long enough to know fans of [insert club here] will now send videos of fans of [insert club here] shouting racist or sectarian abuse, asking why that’s not reported. Can we just agree racism is always unacceptable & it doesn’t support any team?
Here’s to 2020.

Allegations of racism are very dangerous, all right minded fans will hope that the man from ITN can provide Celtic with the offending video to identify and expel any racist among the Celtic support.
Weren’t quick to make a statement when this happened in front of all the cameras. pic.twitter.com/OnbAlDyuog
