Ryan Christie will be back in the Celtic side to face Hearts tomorrow night.

The midfielder was rested for the Europa League tie away to Cluj last week but also missed Sunday’s 2-0 win over Hibs.

With 16 goals from midfield Christie is a key player in Neil Lennon’s side with the hoops boss pleased to have the former Inverness Caley Thistle man available for the trip to Tynecastle.

Asked about Ryan Christie’s injury Lennon said:

He’s fit, we had to be careful with him over the last couple of days. Little bit of a knee problem but he’s trained today so he’ll be in the squad for Wednesday.

Lennon switched to a 3-5-2 formation against Hibs but will probably return to a 4-2-3-1 for the trip to Tynecastle.

Mikey Johnston and Jonny Hayes could play on the left with Christie slotting in just behind Odsonne Edouard as Celtic look to stretch their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership to five points.

Hearts have won just one SPFL match at Tynecastle and go into tomorrow’s match on the back of losing 1-0 at home to St Johnstone.

New boss Daniel Stendel faces a tough start to his new job with matches against Hamilton, Hibs and Aberdeen following the visit of the champions.
