Neil Lennon delivers three magic words for the Celtic support

‘Very good chance’ was the message from Neil Lennon that every Celtic fan wanted to hear today when the subject of Odsonne Edouard was brought up.

Late this morning pictures showed the striker training at Lennoxtown but the same had happened on Tuesday with Edouard missing from the team that faced Hamilton Accies on Wednesday.

Many Celtic supporters have suspected that mind games are involved in the messages about the forward but it is taking things to an extreme to miss out on three matches as a smokescreen.

Lennon wasn’t giving too much away but having trained on Tuesday and Friday with his team-mates it looks like Edouard should be back in the side at Hampden.

Lewis Morgan has played as a striker in the absence of Edouard but will take a back-seat on Sunday as the first trophy of the season is decided.

If Edouard is joined in the squad by Jonny Hayes, Boli Bolingoli and Moi Elyounoussi there is going to be very strong competition on the bench with the prospect that players such as Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths or Tom Rogic could miss out completely.
