Neil Lennon is hopeful of having Ryan Christie in the Celtic side to face Hearts on Wednesday.

The midfielder was rested from the midweek trip to Cluj but was also absent from the side that beat Hibs 2-0 today thanks to goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard.

After the match Lennon was asked by Radio Scotland about who might return for the Hearts match:

We’re hoping Ryan will be available and we’ll assess Jonny (Hayes) he’s still a bit sore in his shoulder. Moi (Elyounoussi) won’t be available, it is the same stress reaction in the foot, he needs complete rest.

With Mikey Johnston and Elyounoussi unavailable Lennon switched to a back three with Frimpong and Boli Bolingoli playing as wing-backs.

Frimpong gave Celtic the lead in the 39th minute from an Edouard pass, midway through the second half the Frenchman extended Celtic’s lead before being replaced by Leigh Griffiths.

Today’s results leave Celtic two points clear at the top of the table with the chance to extend that lead when they go to Tynecastle on Wednesday night.
