Andrew Dickson has accused Celtic of hosting the most disgusting and sustained racism that he has ever heard in Scotland.
Dicko is a former reporter for Rangers Media, in 2012 he TUPE’d over his employment contract to the new club created by Charles Green.
It’s unclear whether Dickson was actually working at Celtic Park on Sunday but in typical fashion he opted to share his opinions on Twitter without a shred of evidence. His version of events was very similar to that portrayed by Peter Smith of ITN.
In four previous appearances at Celtic Park there has been no reports of racist abuse of Alfredo Morelos but something appears to have changed on Sunday.
With his 7th red card in 17 months, his second in a fortnight, the transfer value of the former HJK Helsinki starlet has dropped like a stone. Adding to the issue was the gesture of drawing a finger across his throat as he left the pitch.
In normal circumstances the red card and gesture would be newsworthy but in Scotland other forces are at work with a different line required in an attempt to put a gloss on bad news for a club facing a £10m shortfall for the season. Plus, a pay-out amounting to many millions of pounds next month to Sports Direct.

It seems that Dickson missed out on the racist abuse that resulted in part of Ibrox being closed for two matches by UEFA earlier this season, the SFA and SPFL have never charged the company on that score.
Good statement from Rangers. Addresses the issue of VAR constructively but also doesn’t miss when it comes to Morelos either. The racist abuse he encountered yesterday was disgusting and more sustained than anything I’ve ever heard in Scotland. Absolutely embarrassing in 2019. https://t.co/78nboO9C42

No mention of the Billy Boys being sung from the fans officially named as racists from UEFA? Or do you condone that sort of thing Andrew? Hypocrite and what was the racist abuse? Lies!

More “sustained” than being up to ones knees in Fenian blood?
Check yourself.

Be careful with your condemnation Andrew. Monkey chants after Édouard goal, sectarian singing from your fans end, booing during minutes applause. Selective aren’t you when singling out targets.

We all should condemn racism Andrew. It’s a stain ln society. Racism isn’t just “white on black”. Take a moment to think about the anti Irish racism thats cascades down the stands and terraces at Ibrox. Racism is abhorrent. All of it.
