The Daily Record has pulled out its big hitters early on to give their predictions on Sunday’s League Cup Final.

Chief football writer Keith Jackson sat down with Chris Sutton and Alex Rae to look ahead at the main issues for Sunday’s match.

Celtic’s run of winning nine successive trophies is under serious threat with two of the Record’s experts tipping the trophy to head to Ibrox on Sunday night.

It’s unclear when the video was shot but after last night’s drama it looks like Celtic will be heading to Hampden in far greater heart.

While their opponents on Sunday were enduring a late night journey back to Glasgow after dropping points at Aberdeen Celtic players were enjoying the glow of a last gasp winner to open up a two-point lead at the top of the SPFL table.

Neil Lennon expects to have Jonny Hayes, Boli Bolingoli and Mo Elyounoussi available for selection with the fitness of Odsonne Edouard being checked on a day-to-day basis ahead of the Hampden kick-off.

Asked to place a charity bet Sutton said:

What about Morelos for a red card? I’ll go for that. My charity is Yorkhill Children’s Hospital

Alex Rae predicted:

I’m going to go 2-1 for Rangers with Morelos to get the first goal. That will be for Second Chance Charity for addiction.

Host Keith Jackson added:

I’m going to go for a 2-2 draw over 90 minutes and Rangers to win on penalties. My chosen charity is the Beatson.

Willie Collum will be the referee at Hampden.
