Lewis Morgan starts today’s League Cup Final at Hampden with Odsonne Edouard named among the substitutes.

Kris Ajer is rejoined in defence with Jeremie Frimpong, Chris Jullien and Jonny Hayes with the other surprise being Moi Elyounoussi starting in front of Mikey Johnston. Moritz Bauer, Scott Sinclair and Leigh Griffiths miss out completely.

Edouard has been missing for the last three matches, despite training this week the Frenchman is named as a substitute with Morgan keeping his place in the side.

In Edouard’s absence the hoops have taken their winning run to 11 games but Wednesday’s win over Hamilton Accies was tighter than anyone predicted with Scott Brown coming up with a stoppage time winner.

Having won the last nine domestic trophies Lennon’s squad has the know-how to cope with whatever crops up at Hampden today with many eyes on referee Willie Collum.

Last November the Ibrox club published a statement raising concerns about ‘issues’ with the Lanarkshire based official, after paying a £6,000 fine Collum didn’t get another match involving Steven Gerrard’s side for six months.
