The Lennoxtown picture that every Celtic fan wants to see

Odsonne Edouard has been pictured training today at Lennoxtown.

The striker has missed Celtic’s last three matches due to ‘a niggle’ with Neil Lennon saying that he will be monitored day by day.

Edouard was pictured at training on Tuesday but was left out of the squad that beat Hamilton Accies 2-1 on Wednesday night with Lennon more upbeat about the prospects of Moi Elyounoussi, Jonny Hayes and Boli Bolingoli.

Lewis Morgan has stood in for Edouard in the last three matches but the return of the Frenchman would give Celtic a massive boost going into Sunday’s match.

Until his absence Edouard was Celtic’s leading scorer this season with a track record for delivering on the big occasion.

At Hampden in May Hearts took the lead in the Scottish Cup Final but Edouard roared back with a double that clinched the Treble Treble.

In the only previous Glasgow derby this season, played at Ibrox in September, Edouard opened the scoring in Celtic’s 2-0 victory.
