Scott Brown was the last gasp hero as the leadership of the SPFL took a dramatic twist.
Celtic were expected to rattle in a few goals at home to Hamilton Accies while Steven Gerrard’s side were put through their paces at Aberdeen.
After 30 minutes the Ibrox side were 2-0 up while Celtic were leading Hamilton 1-0 thanks to a 13th minute goal from Ryan Christie with little sign of the anticipated goal-fest.
Aberdeen managed to get back on level terms before the 40-minute mark but at Celtic Park there was no sign of goals even though Leigh Griffiths replaced Lewis Morgan.
In the 90th minute Celtic Park fell silent as Mario Ogkmboe equalised for the visitors to put the top two back on level terms as they went into stoppage time.
Brown wasn’t prepared to settle for a point- when a Mikey Johnston run came to a halt he drove into the penalty box then sent a low left foot across the keeper into the net to send the hoops clear at the top of the SPFL.
