Gary Neville has been trending across Twitter after adding more than limp clichés to the racism issues marring English football.
Three times during the Spurs v Chelsea match the Public Address system had to ask supporters to cut out racist abuse after Antonio Rudiger complained to the referee.
‘You’re Part Of The Problem’ Fans and Pundits turn on Sky Sports as they distance themselves from Neville comments
Highlighting the racist issues that dogged the two main candidates in the recent General Election isn’t normally part and parcel of the after-match debate on Sky Sports.
Neville spoke for almost two minutes on the issue as panic set in across the studio before host David Jones stepped in to reassure viewers that Neville had expressed his own views, not the view of Sky Sports.

That intervention sparked a backlash across Twitter led by Stan Collymore.
As for Sky’s “these are the views of Gary Neville “, just goes to show that playing up to the current gammon armchair fan is more important than having the backbone to say “we echo those comments “.
Barney Francis, Sky and Dave Jones showed the spine of a jellyfish.
Cunts.

You bottled it.
And like @premierleague hide behind mealy mouthed “we abhor racism” phrases while doing zero to play a part in stopping it.
And the industry is littered with Dave Jones’s who’ll happily parrot whatever is fed into an earpiece rather than be his own man. https://t.co/rI0bUjBB1P

Gary Neville’s card marked by Sky Sports now. The lickspittle host has since come out and made excuses for the shite he said at the end. Have no doubt he was told in his ear what to say. https://t.co/Zk282Y742p

Big up Gary Neville.
Also to people that think we need a “balanced debate” on *racism* – you’re part of the problem.#SayNoToRacism but more importantly, believe us when we say it’s getting worse and we need support, solidarity and action. https://t.co/WjisCLjUFo— Faiza Shaheen (@faizashaheen) December 23, 2019
