Celtic fans face an anxious wait to see if Victor Wanyama is about to rejoin the Scottish champions.
The midfielder has been mentioned in dispatches during the transfer window but around 9am strong reports emerged from The Standard in London that Celtic were in talks with Spurs about a deadline day deal.
That news was greeted with delight by most Celtic fans even though adding a winger and central defender seemed to be the priority for most supporters.
After 11am however the mood changed, a spanner was thrown into the works with a tweet from Stephen McGowan. The man from the Daily Mail has been closer than most with Celtic transfer business over the last decade with a line of information that seems independent of whoever is in the managers chair.

#thfc in talks to loan Wanyama to Celtic. Spurs appear to have given up trying to get £9m for him this month. Deal not finalised but it is expected that Spurs will pay a chunk of his wages. May also include an option to buy but not yet agreed. https://t.co/ylWSUoRUQO
