After being linked with Barcelona earlier in the week yesterday it was the turn of Seville to be ‘considering a bid’ for Alfredo Morelos.
The list of clubs linked with the Colombian striker over the last two years is growing at an increasing rate with one common factor. No one has actually placed a bid above the 3m euros that Steven Gerrard revealed at the end of last season.
Celtic fans are developing a knack for the Morelos Reports. Vague terms like keeping tabs, weighing up an offer and considering a bid are usually mentioned along with some news about a club needing to sign a striker.
Most reports also carry the claim that ‘Rangers’ won’t welcome an offer with Dave King and Steven Gerrard ruling out £40m or £50m bids before Christmas.
With a week to go in the transfer window the daily rumour is likely to be cranked up, after trying the Barcelona line there aren’t many more links that can be more ridiculous.
