John Kennedy has killed off the on-line rumours of confrontations in the tunnel area following last week’s Glasgow derby.

The hoops assistant manager seemed to figure in most of the gossip alongwith Ryan Christie and Alfredo Morelos.

After a day or two of claims the story switched to Celtic’s silence which was interpreted by some as ‘keeping their powder dry’.

Neil Lennon will do most of the media work while the club is in Dubai but first up was Kennedy who responded to the inevitable question in The Sun:

As for the online rumour mill, Kennedy nodded and added: “I have heard it. I have had a couple of people ask me questions about whether there was fighting in the tunnel. There was no such thing. It’s just the usual nonsense.

Lennon and Kennedy will enjoy their first full week of training since July with Celtic involved in midweek matches through the first half of the season.

International breaks saw half of the first team squad on duty elsewhere leaving a core of players to work out at Lennoxtown or take a short break.

Jozo Simunovic, Daniel Arazani, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Moi Elyounoussi were all pictured training after being out injured for varying durations.
