Conor Hazard has become the latest Celtic player to join a Championship club on loan.

The keeper spent a month on loan at Dundee earlier in the season and has agreed a deal to return to Dens Park till the end of this season.

Hazard has still to make a competitive appearance for Celtic with the goalkeeping position well covered by Fraser Forster, Scott Bain and Craig Gordon.

Covering the move The Courier reports:

The Northern Ireland international has made the journey back to Dens Park from parent club Celtic and is likely to take over as number one choice from Jack Hamilton.

The Dark Blues stated: “Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce that Conor Hazard has returned to the club on a loan deal. Goalkeeper Conor previously joined from Celtic on emergency loan in October and made five appearances. He impressed throughout his brief spell in dark blue and returns on a deal from Celtic until the end of the season.”

Dundee are away to Morton on Saturday with just seven points separating James McPake’s side in fourth place from bottom of the table Partick Thistle.

Earlier today Jonathan Afolabi moved on loan to Dunfermline with Lee O’Connor making his Partick Thistle debut on Saturday in the 2-1 defeat away to Arbroath.

So far this season Ross Doohan has played in 26 matches for Ayr United with Robbie Deas involved in 25 matches for Alloa Athletic. Last week Celtic recalled Stephen Welsh from his loan move at Morton.

Loan players can be recalled to play in Reserve Cup ties and also in the Glasgow Cup.
