Ismaila Soro has arrived at Glasgow Airport after completing his transfer to Celtic.

Last week the midfielder underwent a medical in Israel as Celtic completed the details of his work permit application ahead of signing a four and a half year contract.

A deal for around £2m was agreed with Bnei Yehuda with Soro arriving this afternoon accompanied by his agent Dudu Dahan.

The midfielder spent two years in Israel with Neil Lennon describing his style of play as being like a bull with Soro expected to compete with Callum McGregor and Scott Brown for a place in central midfield.

With Patryk Klimala already signed up the Soro deal takes Celtic’s spending through the £5m mark with Lennon hoping to bring in one more player which is likely to be an experienced winger.

So far in the transfer window Scott Sinclair has been sold to Preston with Eboue Kouassi, Jonathan Afolabi, Jack Hendry, Lee O’Connor and Conor Hazard moving out on loan.

Lewis Morgan has still to finalise his move to Inter Miami.
