Alfredo Morelos, who was apparently suffering from a calf strain replaced Ryan Kent in the 68th minute with Gerrard now facing an anxious wait to discover the extent of the veteran’s injury.
So far during the transfer window Gerrard hasn’t added to his squad with the club still to address the £10m shortfall to complete the season. Last week Kenny Miller was released by Partick Thistle.
