Attempts to find a club to sign Alfredo Morelos have been ditched in favour of a feel-good story that the striker could be on his way to Barcelona!
For two years a succession of stories has surfaced about alleged interest in the striker only for them to fizzle out without an offer being put on the table.
The fantasy bids started two years ago with mystery clubs in China having mystery bids rejected.
I see the SMSM are running with the “story “ about Morelos for Barcelona and think there’s only 10 days of the transfer window left to offload him? pic.twitter.com/1KRzyuz9r1

The trend has continued inside and outside of the transfer window with reports that clubs in France, Turkey, Germany, Mexico and England reported to be ‘keeping tabs’ or ‘making enquiries’ for the former HJK Helsinki starlet.
Despite the worldwide interest Morelos has still to play in a competitive international for Colombia and was left out of their 40-man squad for last summer’s Copa America.

In November the annual report of the Ibrox club reported a £10m shortfall for the season, with no sign of genuine interest in Morelos efforts to create interest in other players are bound to be cranked up.
