Victor Wanyama appears to be joining French side Amiens- with Spurs paying 70% of his wages.
There was intense speculation this morning that Celtic were in talks with Spurs about the midfielder but just before lunchtime credible sources poured cold water on the speculation.
Neil Lennon has spoken positively about the player but has emphasised that the economics of the deal seemed to be too much of a stretch for Celtic’s budget.
Daniel Levy of Spurs is known for driving hard deals but tonight it seems that the English side have helped pay the way for Wanyama to go on loan to France.

Lennon signed Wanyama for £1m in 2011 before selling him two years later for a then record Celtic fee of £13m to Southampton.
So far in the window Celtic have signed two 21-year-olds, Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro with time running out on bringing in the experienced players that were expected before the window opened.
Amiens are currently third bottom of the French league.
