Lennon confirms midfielder deal and provides Griffiths update

Neil Lennon has confirmed that Celtic has a deal in place to sign Ismaila Soro.

A number of issues have been flagged up this week over the Bnei Yehuda midfielder with conflicting reports coming out of Israel.

It seems that the two clubs have agreed on a fee around the £2m mark with terms agreed to bring the Ivorian to Scotland.

Signing the deal off at the Israeli end however seems to have become problematic with various agents appearing to want a commission with two former clubs also involved.

Soro will undergo a Celtic medical and needs a work permit before the DONE DEAL stamp can be looked out.

Earlier in the week Celtic completed the £3.5m signing of Patryk Klimala from Polish side Jagiellonia with the striker in line to feature at some stage in tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle.
