Greg Taylor looks like starting 2020 as Celtic’s first choice left-back.
The defender signed from Kilmarnock on the final day of the summer 2019 transfer window just as Boli Bolingoli struck top form.
Taylor found it easier to get a game for Scotland than Celtic- waiting until 30th October for his SPFL debut with his prospects hampered by being cup tied for the League Cup.

? @GregGregtaylor: “You have to be patient at a massive club and I understand that. Every footballer wants to play games and I’m no different. As long as I impress in training and do it on the pitch then that’s all that matters.”

Sometimes clubs can try and ‘sell a dummie’ by putting a player up to the media who won’t be involved in the match that they are previewing but it’s unlikely that any dirty tricks are at play ahead of a match against Partick Thistle.
After starting just three SPFL matches in the first half of the season Taylor is looking to become first pick in 2020.
With half of his career appearances coming on plastic pitches he’ll be hoping that the trips to Kilmarnock and Hamilton in the next fortnight can advance his first team hopes.
