The SFA are delaying any decision on whether Alfredo Morelos is given an additional punishment for his slit throat gesture at Celtic fans.
Three days after the match Ryan Christie was given a two match retrospective suspension for an incident viewed by the SFA’s Compliance Officer. A week after his red card no action has been taken against Morelos.
If ever there was a case to highlight the double standards of the SFA it would be this.
With the highly secretive Five Way Agreement agreed by all clubs in July 2012 in place it can only be speculated that a dual system of justice is in place.

SunSport understands compliance officer Clare Whyte hasn’t ruled out filing a notice of complaint against the hitman. Morelos, 23, is already due to miss three games because of his Parkhead red card. That could be extended if Whyte decides his actions merit further punishment.
Having viewed the match the Compliance Officer has two choices- to charge or not to charge. No further evidence is needed, if a decision can be made on Christie then one can be made on Morelos at exactly the same time.
With no club willing to challenge the secret workings of the governing body these precedents are only going to be repeated.

In November after being presented with a mountain of evidence that the SFA handled the 2011 UEFA licences incorrectly the Celtic board refused to call in the City of London Police or UEFA. From that moment Celtic have been hostages to whatever the SFA wish. Current President Rod Petrie was on the 2011 Licence Committee.
There is no mention of any action being taken against Ibrox reserve Andy First appearing behind the goal at Celtic Park despite not being named as a substitute.
