Social media reports are suggesting that Ismail Soro is about to join the Celtic squad in Dubai.

The Bnei Yehuda midfielder has been linked with Celtic for the last two months and appears to fit in with the profile of recent signings.

Soro moved to Israeli side Yehuda in January 2018 from Gomel of Belarus and has made his mark as a central midfielder.

Belgian side Gent have also been linked with Soro but with Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed already at Celtic there are strong links with Israel already at the club.

Central midfield was an area that Celtic never strengthened during the summer window. Terms were agreed with Motherwell for David Turnbull before his medical problem came to light while Luca Connell has still to make his mark on the side.

A fee in the region of £2m has been mentioned for the 21-year-old who has also played for Saxon Gagauz of Moldova.
