Celtic fans have given the likely signing of Patryk Klimala a muted welcome.
Three strikers seemed to be in the mix but with the Dubai break over and the first game of 2020 just six days away the need to bring in a new striker was becoming more pressing.
Andraz Sporar and Yonatan Cohen have also been linked but early on Sunday morning respected Polish journalist Krzysztof Stanowski confidently tweeted that the Jagiellonia striker was Celtic bound.
All being well with the medical Celtic will look to integrate Klimala into the first team picture as quickly as possible, assessing his fitness after playing his last match for Jagiellonia on December 15 against Lechia Gdansk.
With seven goals in 17 appearances, five of them as a substitute there is a decent scoring record to work with but the pressure will be intense from day one.
A year ago Vakoun Bayo was in a similar situation, 12 months on it looks odds against the Ivorian making it at Celtic.
With one signing expected to be in the door within a fortnight of the transfer window opening the hunt is on to see who will be the next player brought in to boost Neil Lennon’s title push.
Patryk Klimala jutro przejdzie badania medyczne w Celtiku Glasgow. Szkoci zap?ac? 4 miliony euro (kwota odst?pnego).

I’m struggling to get excited by Patryk Klimala’s potential signing. His goalscoring stats aren’t exactly mouthwatering, especially in comparison to Andraz Sporar who is scoring regularly, albeit in a lesser quality league.
