Celtic fans were shocked to find out of Inter Miami’s interest in Lewis Morgan.
A move to the English Championship could have been predicted but not to the David Beckham soccer project in South Florida.
The winger has been on the fringes of the Celtic side this season- much as he was in the first half of last season before moving to Sunderland on loan for the second half of the season.
Hibs and St Mirren had been linked with loan deals this month but a move to Miami was kept very quiet.
Celtic fringe winger Lewis Morgan could be on his way to Fort Lauderdale after Celtic accepted a bid today.
Promising player, don’t know how good a move it would be however… https://t.co/L9NS6lIQXR

Fair play to Lewis Morgan, can think of worse things than being paid to kick a ball in Miami

Lewis Morgan gave, undoubtedly, his all every time he put on the hoops.
Best of luck to him if he does indeed decide to go to Inter Miami. A club owned by David Beckham and based in Miami is hardly going to be shunned by a squad player from Greenock!

When Odsonne Edouard was injured at the start of December Morgan was given a run in the Celtic side at centre forward.
A goal at home to Rennes in the Europa League turned out to be the highlight of that spell which included starting in the final of the League Cup at Hampden.
Despite losing Scott Sinclair and Morgan expected to move on Celtic still have Mikey Johnston, Moi Elyounoussi, James Forrest and Marian Shved to fill the wide positions with Johny Hayes and Jeremie Frimpong as other options.
