Alex Thomson has confirmed that he is working on a series of reports investigating Scottish football.
On Saturday morning the Channel 4 investigative reporter tweeted an image of Celtic Park that sparked a mass of speculation across social media.
Thomson doesn’t get involved in the trivia of sport such as disputes with broadcasters or the launch of new kits, the last time he looked in on Scottish football he grilled Stewart Regan on the tax related meltdown of Rangers in 2012.

There are many areas of the Scottish game worthy of investigation with the cosy set-ups at the SFA and SPFL appearing to be no more transparent than they were in 2011 and 2012 which infuriated supporters.
A ruling on the 2011 UEFA licence given to Rangers while they had overdue social payables (Tax Bill) is still awaited with no comment coming out of Hampden since June 2019.
Sponsorship deals for the Scottish Cup and SPFL run out at the end of this season while the national team need to get past Israel and Norway or Serbia to end a 22 year wait to play in a major championship. Hampden will host four matches of this summer’s European Championships.
