Was it written in the stars for Chris Jullien today?

Waking up on the second day of the second month the Frenchman headed along to Hamilton to put on his trusted Number 2 shirt.

The script was in doubt when Jullien was beaten to a corner by Marios Ogkmpoe who headed the home side in front but on reflection the outcome of the match was never in doubt!

Celtic weren’t going to settle for second best with Odsonne Edouard equalising 10 minutes later but deep into the second half Celtic were still looking to go in front of their bottom of the table opponents.

Some quick thinking by ball boy Jonny Hayes created space for Ryan Christie whose cross was met brilliantly by Jullien who fired in another vital goal to put Celtic in front.

Edouard and James Forrest added to the scoring but it was Jullien’s strike that was pivotal in the match, just like his earlier goals against Lazio in the League Cup Final.

The Frenchman has a real affinity with fans through social media, clearly, he’s not in Scotland to finish second best.
