What a difference a year and a city make.
Twelve months ago Celtic fans were looking over their shoulders in Valencia as local and national police seemed to treat the visitors as fair game. Fans singing in a pub seemed to be taken as some sort of national threat that needed dispersed with as social media clips proved.
The weather in Copenhagen wasn’t as agreeable or friendly but if Celtic are drawn to play again in the Danish capital almost everyone that attended last night will be looking out their passport for a return trip.
We want to thank the fans of @CelticFC – it’s been great having you guys
in town – no registered problems during the night. We wish you a safe journey

Around 3,000 Celtic fans made the trip, being welcomed with helpfulness as the local authorities set out to make the trip as memorable as possible.
Clear instructions were set out to get from the city centre to the Parken Stadium with local traders happy to cash in on a midweek boost to business.
At the stadium there were no problems gaining entry, stewards were helpful with no signs of intimidation. It was as a sporting event should be.
