Leigh Griffiths was the subject of a minor missile attack during Celtic’s 4-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park tonight.
It was only a small object, perhaps a bottle top but after the mock outrage over a piece of tape at Rugby Park the incident deserves highlighting.

The incident happened as the striker prepared to take a free kick in front of the area where Motherwell’s BOIS group are based. In December a hot drink was thrown at Alfredo Morelos from that area with the ‘fan’ banned from Fir Park after being identified.
Griffiths didn’t make anything of the ‘missile’, soon afterwards he was slotting home Celtic’s second goal as Neil Lennon’s side hit top form.
Odsonne Edouard scored the first and fourth goal with Callum McGregor netting the third as Celtic maintained their seven-point lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership table and improved their goal difference advantage by three.
