Lennon explains his Elyounoussi dilemma

At 6.30pm tonight we’ll know the answer to a couple of questions when Neil Lennon names his side to face Hearts.

Over the last couple of matches players have been returning from injury as the hoops reach towards top form averaging three goals per game.

Twin strikers Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard have attracted most attention with the new look strike force expected to continue tonight at home to the side propping up the division.

Just behind those two Lennon is spoiled for choice with Ryan Christie and Moi Elyounoussi pushing hard for a starting place.

Lennon picked the same side for the first four Europa League matches with Christie and Elyounoussi pivotal to the formation which picked up 10 points to ensure qualification.

Olivier Ntcham was on the outside looking in but has started 2020 in top form, showing the ability that made him an essential part of Brendan’s Rodgers’ second season success.

After six changes on Sunday how much of a selection dilemma is picking your XI for this game?

It’s a nice dilemma, obviously we have players back now and players champing at the bit to play. It just makes the squad stronger and players getting game time into their legs.

Hoping that Elyounoussi return to form?

Yeah, he was in great form before he got injured. He’s a very good player, he’s very smart, very intelligent footballer. I was really pleased with what he showed, it’s great to have him back, he’s been out for a long time. He just adds to, we have Griffiths, Edouard, Christie and what Forrest has contributed it’s quite dynamic at times.

With a 3-5-2 formation now preferred there are some interesting choices to be made with some big names likely to be left on the bench tonight.
