Graeme Murty got a taste of the not too distant future when he took charge of a team boosted by five star names against Partick Thistle today. The visitors won the Murray Park friendly 2-1.
With various rumours going around about disharmony in the squad the team lines for today’s match told their own story.
Steven Gerrard took his first team squad to Braga this afternoon: leaving behind Andy Firth, Jon Flanagan, Matt Polster, Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker.

Murty was put in charge of the side and pulled some amazing faces as he relived the defeat to the club’s in-house TV service.
It seems that he has learned nothing about dealing with the media from two stints as caretaker manager.
Perhaps he was trying to impress the person asking the questions or may there is some bad news around the corner that is causing him some concern.
