Andrew Dickson has denied any involvement in the Alfredo Morelos interview that Sky Sports was forced to bin and apologise over. Celtic have taken the matter to Ofcom with no explanation offered by the broadcaster.
Former Rangers Media reporter Dickson left the club in 2014 and now works extensively on Sky Sports and Sky News as his Twitter and Linked-In profiles explain.
Earlier in the week that the Morelos interview was recorded he was putting together video clips of goals scored by Morelos. Those tweets were deleted after Sky apologised over the interview which claimed racist abuse from Celtic fans. Morelos spoke in Spanish and made no mention of Celtic.
Amazing @mrandrewdickson accuses others of stirring up hate. The author of the tweet below must think we are all blind.
His entire twitter account is just one long dog whistle.
What other purpose was to be served by this wildly wrong speculation? pic.twitter.com/2VZeKtWmPE

No, I wasn’t. In any way whatsoever. So tough luck with that ? https://t.co/msz1EuOB5s

Ironic that as my tweet appealing for better regulation on social media to curb faceless abuse hits 25k likes – thus showing huge appetite for the idea – an anonymous blogger tries to get some hate going my way. Couldn’t make it up. Folk here should be identifiable & accountable.

When RTC gets involved in something they tend to be on solid ground. In 2017 the Supreme Court confirmed that the old Ibrox club used a system of disguised remuneration for players with Income Tax, National Insurance, Penalties and Interest due.
Despite seriously misquoting their star asset no one at Ibrox has commented on the Sky Sports interview despite the broadcaster apologising and withdrawing the interview.
