Storm Dennis update for Celtic v Kilmarnock

Celtic’s match against Kilmarnock appears to be in no danger from the weather with the worst of Storm Dennis having blown over.

On Friday night St Mirren had to postpone their match against Hearts with Firhill unplayable for yesterday’s scheduled game between Partick Thistle and Dunfermline.

Glasgow has taken a battering over the last fortnight but the rain is expected to die out by early afternoon. More importantly, after dominating the away matches at Clyde and Aberdeen the wind will be down to a more moderate 20 mph.

Celtic have had 11 days to prepare the pitch for today’s match with Neil Lennon’s side looking to maintain their 100% domestic record in 2020.

Today’s match kicks-off at 3pm with Steven Gerrard’s side kicking off 90 minutes earlier away to St Johnstone meaning that there will be a 15/20 minute overlap between the two fixtures.

After refereeing the Glasgow derby in December and last month’s win over Ross County Kevin Clancy will referee his sixth Celtic league match of the season. Neil Lennon’s side have dropped points in three matches out of 27 with Clancy in charge of two of those games.
