Stephen Welsh makes his first team debut for Celtic at Hamilton- 10 days after being recalled from a loan spell at Morton.

The bhoy from Coatbridge turned 20 last month and replaces Jozo Simunovic from the side that started against St Johnstone on Wednesday night as Neil Lennon sticks with the 3-5-2 formation that swept Tommy Wright’s side apart in the rain of Perth.

After yesterday’s stalemate at Ibrox a win this afternoon will put Celtic seven points clear in the race for the SPFL Premiership title.

Neil Lennon’s side have bounced back from the winter break with four successive wins with three of them on the road.

Earlier this season the hoops won 1-0 away to Hamilton with Brian Rice’s side almost pulling off a shock in December when they equalised in the 90th minute at Celtic Park only for Scott Brown to score a stoppage time winner.

Hamilton dropped to bottom place yesterday, on goal difference from Hearts after the Edinburgh side drew 3-3 away to St Johnstone.

CELTIC: Forster; Welsh, Ajer, Jullien; Forrest, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Taylor; Edouard, Griffiths

SUBS: Bain, Bauer, Hayes, Rogic, Christie, Arzani, Klimala
