Nir Bitton makes his first SPFL start of 2020 as Celtic take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie today.

The Israeli international picked up a hamstring injury in the Scottish Cup win at Partick Thistle last month but replaces Jozo Simunovic in Celtic’s 3-5-2 formation. After missing six matches through injury Jeremie Frimpong is named as a substitute.

Celtic had five different scorers in the midweek win over Hearts with the two strikers missing out.

That sort of form has sent the hoops 10 points clear at the top of the table with a 100% record since returning from the winter break.

Earlier this season Celtic were 4-0 up on Aberdeen at half-time with Pittodrie bringing out the best in the hoops in recent seasons, last term the title was clinched with a 3-0 win at Pittodrie.

Derek McInnes has come under fire from Dons fans in recent weeks, in their last two home league matches they have lost 1-0 to St Johnstone and Motherwell.

CELTIC: Forster; Bitton, Ajer, Jullien; Forrest, McGregor, Ntcham, Brown, Taylor; Griffiths, Edouard

SUBS: Bain, Frimpong, Elyounoussi, Christie, Rogic, Hayes, Bayo
