Darrell Currie has hit back at Neil Doncaster’s disparaging comments about the current broadcasting presentation of SPFL football.

Next season, whenever that is, Sky Sports will begin a five year deal after sharing rights to the SPFL with BT Sport over the current deal.

Across social media BT’s presentation has proved a hit with Chris Sutton, Michael Stewart and Ally McCoist entertaining and informing with their opinions and analysis.

In contrast Sky’s presentation has rarely impressed, for a recent Hamilton v Aberdeen match Kris Boyd was the sole pundit with the show starting 15 minutes before kick-off.

BT’s contract runs until the end of this season and includes the Play Off fixtures which should be their farewell to the Scottish game.

Sky are expected to swoop for some of the BT pundits when their new deal begins but many fans, like Currie, will be sceptical that they can live up to Doncaster’s claims of a ‘sea change’ in presentation.
